How to Understand the Bible

Many people have trouble understanding the Bible. First, you have to be saved to understand the Bible.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The next thing you must do is understand that the whole Bible is written for us to learn about and to help us but it is not all written TO us. God is always the same but he deals with us humans differently at different times.

The Jews (Israel) are God's chosen people and he has a special plan for them and that plan has never changed. That plan includes giving them their promised land forever. Jesus Christ will return to the earth after the Tribulation and set up his 1000 year kingdom on earth with himself as the supreme ruler and then on the new earth, Israel will still have their promised land since the Bible says they will have it forever. Christ will not just reign over the promised land but the whole earth at that time.

Salvation has always been through believing what God tells us and in this time period, that is to accept Jesus as our savior but, during the tribulation and during the millineum it will be different. Since we are saved now through faith and because faith is in something we cannot see, when Jesus is here on the earth and ruling, there it takes no faith to believe in Him. People will be able to see Him physically so it has to be different.

So that is the key to understanding the Bible is to understand that God deals with humans differently at different times. If you don't understand that, you will think that the Bible has conflicting information. Once you understand that, all the conflicts disappear.

This is just a very brief explanation. There is much more to come on this web page soon.
