Heaven
In Heaven for Eternity? No.
Heaven is not your final destination if you are saved. You have probably heard that you will spend eternity in heaven after you die (or after you are raptured). It is repeated in almost every church and by almost every Christian including pastors. You will likely be surprised to learn that is not true. It is true you will go to heaven after you die or when you are raptured if you are saved but it is NOT for eternity. You will return to earth with Jesus Christ at his second coming at the end of the tribulation when he will end the final war, set up his kingdom on earth and reign for 1000 years. After that this earth is destroyed and Jesus creates a new earth. You will receive your new celestial physical body in heaven before Jesus returns to the earth and will have that body for the rest of etrnity. God made us human with human bodies that were designed to live physical lives on a physical earth. No where in the Bible does it say we will live in heaven forever unless you want to say that heaven comes to earth with Christ's second coming. The promise is that as Christians, we will live forever with resurrected perfect bodies but nowhere does it say we will live in heaven forever.
1 Thessalonians 4:17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
2 Corinthians: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Since we shall always be with the Lord, how could he leave us behind in heaven when he is here on earth?
If we live until the rapture, then from that point on, we will be with Jesus.
1Th 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
